Kineseotaping and Taping
Kineseotaping is a flexible elastic tape that can be applied to an injured area for a variety of reasons. Physiotherapists can use it to facilitate weak muscles to encourage them to work better. It can also be used to offload irritable joints and or inhibit overactive muscles. It is generally very comfortable to wear and can help a lot in the early stages of rehab.
Sports taping is a rigid tape that is most commonly used to support weakened or injured ligaments. It gives firm support and can be used to support joints and ligaments still recovering from injury.
